FAQ's About Skin Needling
Microneedling is an effective and relatively quick method of triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen and elastin within the skin. This process fosters new skin cell growth which brings the skin a plumper and more youthful look.
The microneedling treatment is a minimally invasive service that helps with various skin conditions and concerns. Today, more and more people are aware of microneedling and its benefits due to increased visibility on social media, and also due to several high profile celebrity endorsements of the procedure.
DermaPen is the next generation in skin needling. This treatment uses oscillating micro-needles to create micro-injuries to the skin to encourage the body’s ability to repair the skin. Dermapen gently glides over your skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which helps to plump, smooth and tighten your skin.
This highly effective treatment is ideal for many skin concerns, such as uneven skin tone and complexion, hormonal pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, surgical, acne and trauma scars. The wound healing response created by the Dermapen causes collagen to remodel and dramatically improve the appearance of the skin.
Dermapen is the latest technology in medical-grade micro skin needling with the results being just as effective as ablative treatments, such as Fraxel, IPL, laser resurfacing and chemical peels. Regardless of your skin colour or type micro needling is the best treatment you can have to make your skin look fresh and younger.

One treatment may be all you need for desired results; however, we typically recommend a series of three to six treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart for optimal results.
Results may vary depending on the condition of the skin being treated, as more advanced scarring may require additional treatments. Nonetheless, improvement should be expected after each and every treatment.
While some results may be almost immediate, your best results usually won’t be visible until four to six weeks after the procedure.
Your skin will be red for about 24 hours after the procedure, but this redness will quickly fade in a day or two.
